A rapidly emerging classic in these parts, the Nidderdale Sportive is a great opener to the season. We sat down with its founder Mark Livesey to learn a little more.
When they announced the Tour de Yorkshire Sportive was heading West, some locals were surprised that neither the Yorkshire Moors or Wolds were taking the limelight. Neither featured in the 2014 Tour de France route and this created some grumbling amongst the cycling fraternity. We are happy to say that, whilst both the Moors and the Wolds still deserve their time in the sun, this 140 km, largely Pennines based long route is a more than worthy choice.
