    Situated in the traditional heart of the village of Askrigg, Sykes’s House is thought to have been built around 1687 and can be found opposite the beautiful 15th century church of St Oswald’s. The building has undergone many changes over the years, from being a family home to having once been a Temperance Hotel. Now, it is a thriving village store with a tea room as well as having two large Bed and Breakfast en-suite letting rooms. There is a large secure covered courtyard that can accommodate bicycles and has plenty of room for any maintenance you may need to do. Wet coats can be left here overnight rather than dripping in your room!

Selby, a small market town with an historic Abbey, restaurants and supermarkets is a further mile away.

Free parking is included in your stay and we also have secure cycle parking and drying facilities for cyclists, walkers... and anyone who gets wet (which hardly ever happens due to the glorious weather in sunny Scarborough!)
