As if things weren’t already great for us cyclists in North Yorkshire, a new bike shop has opened its doors in Malton – Northern Ride. Specialising in road bikes, mountain bikes and servicing they are dealers for Focus, Olympia and Scapin so perhaps something different to what you’re used to.

The Dales Rider – preview

So let’s get one thing straight right from the off – it’s pretty hard to plan a bad route in this part of the UK.  No matter which way you look you are basically spoilt for choice with a network of quiet country roads and killer climbs to make it a perfect place to start a cycling event.
