REVIEW – Holiday Cottages for cyclists

So after a little while away from reviews we are back and thought it appropriate to start with something very special.

 

Amidst all the Tour de France hype surrounding our region at the moment it’s no surprise that a lot of businesses in the hospitality industry are really trying to attract the cycling community. This is great for us all and Broughton Hall nr Skipton seems to be leading the way and really embracing the cycling community more than most. Not only do they already host the famous annual Rapha Supercross event, they will also host the 3 day Rapha Tempest festival of cycling in 2014. http://www.raphatempest.cc/

 

As if that wasn’t enough for us all the get excited about, Broughton Hall now have two luxury holiday cottages available to rent and they kindly invited the North Yorkshire Cycling team to spend an entire weekend at their Higher Scarcliffe residence.

No place like home

photoSo the Bank Holiday has finally come to an end and it has been fairly significant for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the Giro D’Italia came to a close with a predictable but most deserving winner, but perhaps even more important was the fact that rather surprisingly (for a Bank Holiday) we enjoyed the best cycling weather of the year so far – ok so with the ice age like conditions we have be enduring recently it wasn’t hard, but still very welcome to finally get sun drenched as opposed to the more common kind of drenched.
